This is another post in regards to rings, using only SaHeeH aHaadeeth, I have already made a previous post about `Aqeeq rings, it is titled The Sunnah of Wearing an `Aqeeq (Agate) Ring. Now, here is a great hadeeth on the Sunnah act of wearing a yaqoot (ring).
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ يُسْتَحَبُّ التَّخَتُّمُ ُ بِالْيَاقُوتِ
Abee `Abd Allaah (عليه السلام): "Is mustaHab (recommended) to wear rings with Yaqoot (Ruby)"

But didn't you say earlier in the agate post that ahadith about yaqoot have problems in their sanad?
